Chapter 6: The Royal Facilities
Party Pavilion was quite a fancy place, with its cabinets of porcelain, elegant decorations, and flowers growing around the entire area. She saw a chameleon wearing a party hat coming towards her.

“I’m Mimaka, and I manage the Party Pavilion. My Highness Queen Felicia celebrated her birthday the night before she left for the Pet Unity Conference. It was a great party, but as you can see, I haven’t cleaned up the place a lot.”
Angie looked around, and she saw that there were a few tables that still had dishes on them.
“Anyway, I was cleaning up and I got word that Queen Felicia was pet-napped! I was trapped by walls and I couldn’t go around the pavilion to wash plates and put away decorations. If you just look around, you can see that I haven’t put away the giant tea set decorations and now vines are growing around it.”
“I can break the walls. However, Alexander needs to get to the castle. While I clear the walls for him, maybe he can help you take down the decorations or something.”
“Yes, yes.” Alexander replied. “It’s not my normal job, but if I don’t do it, I might just get bored to death!”
“All right, then, Mimaka. I’ll just… do what I said I’d do here… just be patient, because some of these walls are tricky.”
Angie broke walls by day, and slept in a giant teacup by night.
After 13 days, the entire Party Pavilion was accessible. Mimaka slipped a box of English Breakfast teabags into Angie’s satchel and bid adieu to her.
Angie went to Scavvy Scrapyard, where a white rooster was playing the banjo.
“Hey, there. I’m Levant, and I’m trying to repair that plane so pets can use it to cross the lake next to my shop. However, I can’t reach it because these walls are bothersome.”

“Don’t you worry. I know how to take the walls down. Just a quick question.
Where can I sleep?”
“Living quarters? I don’t think my place can accommodate anyone else. I have a coop, but that’s all, and sleeping anywhere else here could give you tetanus!”
“It’s okay. I can sleep in the Party Pavilion.”
Angie had to sleep in the giant teacup for 3 more weeks until she cleared all the walls in the scrapyard.
“Thank you kindly, what’s your name?”
“Angie.”
“Well then, please have this wrench. You might need to repair something. The lake over there’s called Little Atlantis.”
Angie looked at the lake ahead of her and saw marble temple-like structures underneath. An elderly koi with whiskers and glasses swam up to her.

“I’m Alfred, and I’m the royal adviser. Queen Felicia comes to me when she needs a second opinion. Some of the rulers even come to the edge of the lake just to meditate.”
“That’s nice. I can’t swim, however, and I wonder if you can help me break the walls.”
“You can break the walls? Thank goodness. My family and I never thought of actually trying to break the walls because when we heard that we could get imprisoned if we tried to break the walls, so we stayed home and didn’t do much.”
“I want to break the walls because there are pets trapped within them.”
“There are pets trapped in them? I guess that’s why you’re here. But how will you guide us in clearing out the walls?”
I have a periscope.”
“Good. My son will be the one breaking the walls for you.” Alfred pointed to a giant green rain boot. “You can use that as a boat. We don’t actually have one yet.”
After 20 days, Angie got to the other side of the lake.
Angie saw a bear with a fishing rod. He was resting under a tree that had numerous colorful birdhouses.

“I’m Camerino, and I’m supposed to catch fish to sell to the kingfishers who live here in Bungalow Branches. However, the fish haven’t been around lately, and neither have the kingfishers. I’m the only one who can fish here because you probably know this, but the royal advisor lives in this lake.”
“I know that. The fish have already been released. However, I think that the kingfishers might be imprisoned. I’ll release them for you, and you can trust me with that.”
After 19 days, the castle was within Angie’s sight. Camerino gave her a plastic fishing lure.
“Just so you know, snow falls in the area where the castle is.” Camerino told Angie.
Angie changed into her winter clothes before walking the road leading to the castle.
The bridge to the castle was right above a waterfall known to the pets as Firebird Falls. She crossed it and saw a giant nest with golden eggs perched on top of the castle. A phoenix wearing a tiara and a necklace was standing right in front of Angie.

“Welcome to Lost and Foundland’s castle. I’m Princess Phoenicia. Please state your name and business.
“I’m Angie, and I have a letter from my parents. They have been pet-napped by the pet snatchers, and they told me to embark on a journey to free them.”
“I see. Guards? Take our guest here.”
An armadillo wearing a horned helmet came out with a corgi wearing a trench coat and hat.

“Hello there.” Said the corgi. “I’m Detective Corgus, and I was imprisoned in Lost and Foundland by the pet snatchers.” He flashed his badge. “However, Princess Phoenicia found me in my cage and freed me. Since then, I have been a guest in her castle. When the pet snatchers caught me, they locked me up and robbed my coat of my trusty pet-saving tools!” He opened his coat to show that it was empty. “A few years ago, I tried breaking the walls, but they were too tricky, and eventually, I got caught. Since then, I’ve heard from my friend back home that the Pet Snatchers have rebuilt the walls, so my hard work is essentially kaput.”
“Where do you live, anyways?”
“I live at the Mount Petmore station in Fantastic Frontier. I helped Officer Foxy as a detective.”
“I see. Since you seem determined to save the pets, you can come with me until we find a way back to your home. I’ve gone pretty far, and somehow, I haven’t been caught yet.”
“I accept your offer, Angie.”
“All right, Mr. Corgus. First, let’s break the walls on the castle road.”
After 15 days, Angie and Mr. Corgus had cleared the road leading up to the castle.
“Excuse me, Your Majesty. I need to do something.” Angie ran downhill and returned with Alexander and Queen Felicia’s luggage.
“Your Highness,” said Alexander between pants. “The walls prevented me from getting this baggage back to the castle. However, Angie made a promise to me that as soon as she cleared out this entire path, she would send for me.”
“Angie? You did this for my servant?”
“Yes, I did, Your Majesty.”
“Very well. Angie, you have proven to me your determination, courage, and nobility. Go further in your journey, and take Detective Corgus with you. If he tried to break the walls, then he might be helpful to you.”
“Thank you. I’m just curious, but where do you keep the Crystal of Unity of this kingdom?”
“It’s the central gemstone on my tiara. It’s a white sapphire that has the ability to create light. Mr. Corgus, will you join Angie on her journey and help her on the way?’
“Yes, yes, Princess Phoenicia. Though I am under another ruler, I will do everything in my power to be of assistance to her.”
“Very well, Mr. Corgus. Guards, please take our guests to the back end of the castle.”
“The back end of the castle? Why?” Angie inquired.
“I used to rule over two kingdoms until fate intervened. You’ll know more eventually. Until then, good luck on your journey, Angie.”
